Who We Are
East Mountain Therapy Outpatient is a licensed Intensive Outpatient Treatment Facility located in Orem, UT, specializing in personalized addiction services for individuals experiencing Substance Use Disorder and those justice-involved clients requiring community Re-entry support. We understand that the road to recovery is deeply personal, and we honor that by treating every client as an individual — not a diagnosis.

Our Story
With over 20 years in the field of addiction and behavioral health, East Mountain Therapy Outpatient was built on a foundation of firsthand knowledge and a deep understanding of the challenges that come with substance use disorder. Rooted in the heart of Orem, Utah, we have spent over two decades serving individuals and families across our community, witnessing the transformative power of personalized, compassionate care — and that continues to drive everything we do.
Our program has grown and evolved alongside the ever-changing landscape of addiction treatment, always staying current with best practices, evidence-based therapies, and the real-world needs of our clients. What has never changed is our dedication to the people we serve.
Our Team

Each member of our team is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental, and encouraging environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.

Timothy Jindra, CMHC
Clinical Director
Tim Jindra is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) with over 22 years of experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. As founder of East Mountain Therapy, Tim is dedicated to helping individuals build lasting recovery through evidence-based treatment, accountability, and compassionate support.
Tim spent 10 years at Cirque Lodge, a nationally recognized addiction treatment center, where he worked with individuals and families affected by addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health challenges. He has extensive experience providing individual counseling, family therapy, case management, relapse prevention planning, and recovery-focused treatment.
Tim believes recovery is possible for everyone and is passionate about helping clients develop the skills, support systems, and resilience needed to create meaningful and lasting change.
When Tim is not running his business, you will find him recreating in the mountains with his family or playing one of his many guitars.
Amanda Kesler, SUDC,
Program Director
Amanda is a Substance Use Disorder Counselor with extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those facing substance use challenges, legal involvement, social stigma, and other significant life obstacles. Her career has been centered on serving vulnerable and underserved populations through community outreach, education, mentorship, and nonprofit work.
Amanda has worked with organizations including the International Rescue Committee, HIV Utah, the American Cancer Society, Peer Court, and Meals on Wheels, where she developed a strong foundation in advocacy, client support, and community engagement. She has also provided education and guidance to court-mandated individuals, helping clients identify strengths, develop resilience, and build meaningful goals for the future.
Known for her compassionate and practical approach, Amanda is committed to helping clients find hope, accountability, and lasting recovery. She believes every person deserves the opportunity to overcome challenges, discover their potential, and create a fulfilling life.
Outside of her professional work, Amanda enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and serving her community.
